Old Town:

The old town is the most northern tip of Sozopol. It is on a headland which is separated from the new town by a harbour and marina on one side and by a beautiful horseshoe shaped bay with shallow turquoise water and white sandy beach.

The old town is a stunning beautiful village said to be the oldest settlement on the Blacksea coast. It is an unmissable site on your visit to Bulgaria. It has beautiful cobbled streets which are framed by ancient greek stone and wooden buildings.

You can take a stroll through the narrow streets, lined by markets and stalls selling local wares, stopping for light refreshments in one of the many cafe's, then wander down to harbour and have lunch in one of the numerous open air restaurants with the gentle lap of water and the relaxing creak of boat masts. For your evening meal you can walk along the beach to the illuminated fortress wall and eat in in one of the restaurants which line the sea front overlooking the whole of the bay.
